Universal Thermometer is affordable and easy to use Use this thermometer anywhere. Constructed of shock-resistant ABS plastic. Water-resistant case is sealed with an O-ring gasket to stop dirt, dust, fumes, and water. Perfect for use in the feild or finding out the temperature of your compost, casing and substrate. Splash proof, soft pouch (with shoulder strap) protects the unit and provides handy storage for the probe. Traceable® to NIST Reads both °F and °C on a jumbo, 3/4 inch-high LCD display. Range is –58.0 to 500.0°F and –50.0 to 260.0°C. Resolution is 0.1° and accuracy ±1.0°C. Individually serial-numbered Traceable® Certificate is provided from our ISO 17025 calibration laboratory accredited by A2LA. It indicates traceability to standards provided by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology). Programmable alarms Thermometer monitors temperature continuously for 3 years and features a selectable display update rate of 1 second or 10 seconds. A high and low alarm may be programmed in 1° increments. When temperature rises above or falls below the set points, a 1-minute audible alarm signals an out-of-range condition, and a symbol flashes on the LCD display. The alarm mode may be switched off for use as a nonalarm thermometer. Records min/max readings At the touch of a button, memory recalls highest and lowest temperature readings over any time period. Countdown timer Countdown timer function may be programmed in 1-minute increments from 99 hours 59 minutes (display shows hours, minutes, and seconds remaining). Unit sounds an alarm when zero is reached.
