A venturi uses the power of your existing water pump to inject air into the nutrient solution, similar to the way a jacuzzi works. You need to insert a tee in the tubing that goes from the water pump to the growing system & then attach the venturi to the tee. You then attach a piece of flexible air tubing to the top of the venturi and drape the tubing over the side of the reservoir. The venturi should stay a few inches under water. Not only does it aerate the solution, but it also aids in mixing nutrient & pH adjusters as you add them to the reservoir!
